Robert E. Ruberg was born in Cincinnati , Ohio on September 7, 1927. In 1963, John Jay O'Hara (1922-1997) and Bob founded the law firm of O'Hara and Ruberg as a general practice litigation law firm. Since that time, Bob has counseled clients regarding estate planning matters and school law, and has engaged in a general litigation practice. He has been instrumental in building the Firm into one of Northern Kentucky 's oldest and most respected law firms. Bob served as the Juvenile Court Judge in Kenton County between 1962 and 1977. He also represented and advised many Northern Kentucky school boards. Bob has served both the community and the legal profession as a volunteer lawyer, serving as President of the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Northern Kentucky (now Legal Aid of the Blue Grass) for over 21 years. Bob served on the Prichard Committee on Education. He served as Chair of the Kentucky State Board of Education, the Board of Directors for Hope Cottage, the Board of Trustees for Redwood School and Chairman of Board of Trustees for Thomas More College Recently Bob received the Kentucky Bar Association's 2006 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year award.

Bob was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 1951. He also is admitted to practice before U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky. He attended St. Gregory College and University of Kentucky, from which he obtained his B.A. in 1949. Bob received his J.D. from the University of Kentucky in 1951. He is a member of the Kentucky and American Bar Associations and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
